Oakdale Nature Preserve - in front of the Discovery Center
The Oakdale Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park with a mix of paved and unpaved paths. The hike will be approximately 3 miles.
Ramsey County Parks and Recreation is offering free skating for any senior 55+. Every Thursday through March 5, 2026 except for the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years). We skate from 11am-12:30pm. You will need your own skates. All abilities welcome.

Visitor Center by the Treetop Trail
Hike from the Visitor Center by the Treetop Trail in Brooklyn Park, MN. Hike the new 900 ft Treetop Trail, climb down and hike along the Mississippi River, and then over the Coon Rapids Dam.

Geranium Ave E, Maplewood
We will hike about 3 miles along Beaver Creek, through James McKee virgin tall grass prairie, past abandoned railroad structures, around Sterling Oaks Park, and around Nebraska Park.
Hike Wakan Tipi and CHS Field
We will hike a 1 1/4 - mile loop on an easy gravel path with beautiful scenery and stop to listen to the stories and educational information about the Dakota heritage at the audio stations. After the hike, we will walk about a half mile to CHS field on a nice asphalt trail and attend “GLOW.”
