July 8, Wed {WW} Forest Lake Bike Ride {or Hike} and BBQ. Meet at 9:15 a.m. at the Morrissey home, 8959 North Shore Trail N, Forest Lake, MN 55025. Begin biking/hiking at 9:30 a.m. Ride will be approximately 30 miles through scenic territory, with shorter distances available; hike (walk) is 4 miles or shorter. BBQ after ride with swimming available at dock to right {bring water shoes in event of shells on lake bottom}. Brats and potato salad provided; bring appetizer, salad or dessert to share. Bring your own beverages; beer will be available. Please also bring coolers and lawn chairs. Directions: take I-35 north to Hwy 8, east on 8 to Greenway, right to the North Shore Trail {County Rd 2}, left on CR2 approximately 4 miles to 8959 {Morrissey's Back Acher} on the right. Park in the lot at top of hill or by the garage at the brick house.
