A Short Long Lake Bike Ride

Aug 12, Sat {A} A Short Long Lake Bike Ride. Meet at 1:30 p.m., bike at 1:45 from Long Lake Park Boat Launch Parking Lot (not main entrance to park). Mileage options of 22.1 or 23.3 miles. Bike streets and trails of New Brighton, Arden Hills, Shoreview and Circle Pines. Bike Rice Creek North Trail. Bike thru Long Lake Reg Park, Rice Creek North Park, Rice Creek Chain Of Lakes Park, McCullough Park, and Silver View Park. Bike thru old Arden Hills Ammunition Plant site. When we get back to Long Lake Park we will stop and look at antique cars which have just completed the New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run.

Directions: From 694 and 35W in New Brighton, head west on 694; take the Long Lake Road Exit (1st exit); turn right on Long Lake Rd and make quick right on Beach Rd; follow road to parking lot. FFI: Gary Solberg, 612-401-7561 or gary_solberg@yahoo.com.
