Hike Tuesday From Thomas Lowry Park (Behind The Walker Art Center)

Tuesday, August 21, Hike (Note day change.) Tuesday’s saunter will leave from Thomas Lowry Park (Behind the Walker Art Center), head for the Walker to wander through its miniature golf course and view the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden from high. We will then encircle Loring Park to view Berger’s Dandelion Fountain and then cross the freshly painted Siah Armajani footbridge to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. From there we zigzag our way back up Lowry Hill via the Walker for this 2+ mile hike. We’ll go out for lunch after the hike.

If interested in joining me on this topical saunter (All were recent subjects in the StarTribune Paper), meet me at the Southwest Corner of Thomas Lowry Park, corner of Douglas and Colfax, Minneapolis, at 10:30 am so we can begin to hike at 10:45. The Walker opens at 11:00.

Dir: Douglas Ave, the 2nd street south of the Walker, is accessible from southbound Lyndale Ave. Head west for two blocks to Colfax and park.  Address - 900 Douglas Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403
